Returns and Shipping

SHIPPING (Continental U.S.)

  • Orders usually ship one business day after being placed.
  • Please note that some items may be subject to additional shipping and handling charges because of size or weight.
  • Sorry, but we do not ship outside of the Continental U.S.

IN-STORE PICKUP

Most orders will be ready within one business day. Please keep in mind that some items may require additional processing time to transfer from off-site locations. Other items may require additional processing time for assembly. We will call or email you once your order is ready for pickup. If you need an item right away we ask that you call us to confirm that the product is available before heading over to our store. Unless special arrangements are made in advance, orders need to be picked up within 15 days or a 10% restocking fee will be charged.

INFORMATION SECURITY

We protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts all of the information you provide to us and prevents outside parties from being able to "see" your transaction information. When your account information is displayed on your screen, we only display the last five digits of your credit card numbers. You also have the choice of whether or not to save credit card information with us in your Online Account.

BACKORDERS

Occasionally, some items are unexpectedly out of stock or unavailable and may be backordered. If this should occur, we will only bill your credit card for merchandise that is actually shipped. The total shipping charge for orders split into multiple shipments will not exceed the amount quoted on original order.

RETURNS

We hope you love your purchase from Pete's Garage, but if you don't we'll make every effort to exchange or refund your purchase. Please see below for details of our return policy.

  • Full refunds or exchanges will be given only for items in their original unused condition with tags in place and within 30 days of purchase.
  • Returns must be accompanied by the original receipt or credit card used for purchase
  • Items with a gift receipt or without original receipt or proof of purchase will be returned for store credit
  • For items purchased online, return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility
  • Clothing items deemed to be defective may be sent directly to the manufacturer. We're happy to provide assistance with this process if needed
  • All returned bicycles and special order items (including items marked "in warehouse") will be subject to a 20% restocking fee
  • Closeout items, final sale items, and demo or used items may not be returned.

Cervelo may not have made the first gravel bike, but they definitely made the fastest gravel bike. In 2019, Áspero took the world by storm, heralding a new era of speed in gravel. Since then, gravel bikes have grown, fragmented, and started to look a lot like the road and mountain bikes that spawned them, with suspension forks, bolt-ons for…everything, and ever-increasing tire widths.

The new Áspero remains true to thoseearly, simpler days of gravel, but with some improvements—a threaded BB shell, neater cable routing, and a UDH-compatible derailleur hanger for those who want to use SRAM’s Transmission drivetrains. And it’s faster, of course. Cervelo shaved off three watts worth of drag in the redesign process. They also dropped the seat stays to give a bit more compliance out back, and reduced front end stiffness slightly to make the last hours of a long race less painful. Between those dropped seat stays, we added in a bit more clearance for mud, too. Aspero will clear a 45mm tire by ISO standards. ISOmandates a minimum of 4mm ofclearance between tire and frame in all dimensions, but we’ve found that sometimes you need a bit more than 4mm in muddy conditions. The Aspero is designed around 42mm tires with an additional 3mm of clearance on top of what ISO requires, but if your rides are typically dry feel free to push that to 45mm. It’s a lot of seemingly small improvements, but they add up to a lot. The result is a bike that feels a lot like the original Aspero, but is faster, more comfortable, and more versatile.

  • T47 Bottom Bracket:Áspero uses the asymmetrical T47a threaded bottom bracket we pioneered on R5-CX. It’s a simple, rider serviceable interface that allows us to deliver the benefits of BBRight in a more user-friendly form.
  • Easily Adjustable Front End:Áspero shares the same bearing dimensions as R5, Soloist, R5-CX, and Caledonia, which means you can use any combination of bearing caps and stems. Want a super-racy, fully internal look? Grab the ST31 and HB13 from R5.
  • Universal Derailleur Hanger:SRAM made everyone want to step on their derailleurs when they introduced the Transmission mountain bike drivetrains in 2023. It seems unnecessary, no matter who made your derailleur, but Áspero uses the Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) standard in case you want to try.
